Janina Golob-Deeb, D.D.S., M.S.
About Me
Dr. Janina Golob-Deeb was born and raised in Ljubljana, Slovenia. She graduated from the University of Ljubljana Dental School in 1996, where she also received a Student Research Award. After completing an Internship in General Dentistry, she moved to Portland, Oregon, in 1997 to begin her post-graduate training in Periodontics at Oregon Health and Sciences University. She completed her Periodontal specialty training in 2000, and graduated with a Masters in Science degree in Oral Molecular Biology from OHSU in 2001.
Dr. Golob-Deeb’s first employment as a Periodontist was at Gentle Dental in the Portland/Vancouver. A year later, her husband completed his specialty training, and she followed him (a native of Tucson) back to Arizona, where she joined the Gentle Dental team in the Tucson offices. She has worked for Gentle Dental offices in the states of Oregon, Washington, and Arizona for over ten years.
Dr. Golob-Deeb believes her enjoyment in being a Periodontist comes from improving the quality of her patients’ health by treating their periodontal conditions. She enjoys the intricate hands-on work required of a Periodontist and gives her patients the same quality care that she would expect for herself.
In her spare time, Dr. Golob-Deeb’s many interests include spending time with her two children and being involved in their activities, learning new languages and cultures, reading, history, and classical music.
