Shengyi Teng, D.D.S., M.S., M.A
About Me
Dr. Teng has many years of experience in dentistry. In 1985, he graduated from the Zhejiang Medical University. In 1988, he graduated from West China University of Medical Sciences, with a Master of Science degree in Oral Physiology and Temporomandibular (jaw joint) Joint Disorders. From 1997 to 1999, he was named in Marquis’ Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare in the World.
Dr. Teng was recruited to Seattle in 1993, as a University of Washington research scientist. He continued his education at Columbia University, where he graduated in 2000 with both an Orthodontic certificate and a Masters of Arts degree. He has published several dental research papers internationally. But, beyond academics, Dr. Teng has a great passion for practicing orthodontics.
“The face and jaws create a dynamic system to which each patient presents a unique situation in orthodontics. It is exciting to make a specific treatment plan for each individual,” says Dr. Teng. His academic experience in research enables him to consistently incorporate new scientific findings and techniques to better serve his patients. “The best reward for me is to see my patients making progress towards their goal.”
