John Popenoe, D.D.S.
About Me
Before becoming a dentist, Dr. John Popenoe worked as a carpenter, a job that he loved for its artistry, dexterity, and precision. In dentistry, he saw the opportunity to maintain those challenges in his profession while transitioning to health care and a role in which he could help people directly. Now, as a General Dentist, he loves building relationships with his patients. He takes great pride in earning a patient’s trust and showing them that dentistry can be pleasant.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Central Washington University, and his D.D.S. degree from Marquette University, Dr. Popenoe bases all of his work on science and experience, striving consistently to achieve perfection in everything he does. His diligent approach and outstanding work has been rewarded several times. In 2009, he was recognized by the National Research Council as one of America’s Top Dentists; more recently, in 2010 and 2011, he was selected as Seattle’s Top Dentist in Seattle Met Magazine. He is a member of several industry organizations, including the American Dental Association.
Outside of the office, Dr. Popenoe has a wide range of hobbies to keep him active. He enjoys playing all sports, and also plays multiple musical instruments. He also likes to spend his time hiking, traveling, dabbling in photography, and spending time with his family.
