About Me

Dr. Brenda Caillouel has been practicing orthodontics for over 10 years. After studying Biology at UCSD, she received both her D.D.S. and her M.S.D. in Orthodontics from the University of the Pacific’s Dugoni School of Dentistry. Throughout her career, she has received numerous awards, including the Arthur A. Dugoni Excellence in Clinical Care Award, Frederick T. West Basic Science Research Award, Colgate-Palmolive Clinical Research Award, and International Congress of Oral Implantologists Award. Her academic work was also recognized with induction into two dental honor societies: Omicron Kappa Upsilon and Tau Kappa Omega. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontists, and a member of many other professional organizations.
 
As an orthodontist, Dr. Caillouel feels she is able to make a major impact on both her patients’ oral health and their self-confidence. She believes that she is not just straightening teeth or improving overbites, but also changing the way her patients look and feel about themselves by creating beautiful, healthy smiles. She encourages her patients to be involved in their treatment in order to achieve the best results possible, and is accordingly always open to questions and attentive to each patient’s needs.
 
In her spare time, Dr. Caillouel enjoys spending time with her husband Christophe, her son Dylan, practicing yoga, surfing, gardening, and traveling. Her favorite vacation spot is Hawaii.
