Talayeh Afkhami, D.D.S.
About Me
Orthodontics is an extremely rewarding opportunity for Dr. Talayeh Afkhami to observe the transformation of appearances. Through the most advanced and individualized treatment plans, she effectively refines the esthetic and functional profile of each patient. With each case, she appreciates the development of self-confidence in her patients as they complete their treatment.
After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Cell Molecular Biology & Genetics from University of Maryland at College Park, Dr. Afkhami attended University of Maryland at Baltimore Dental School for her D.D.S. degree. During her graduate studies, she received the Diversity Scholarship and was recognized for her work by the National Institutes of Health Research. She has completed her Certificate in Orthodontics and is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, skiing, cycling, hiking, and horseback riding. She also likes to read, learn new things, and spend time with her husband. Dr. Afkhami is fluent in Farsi.
