About Me

Dr. Nathan Proud grew up on a farm in Northern Alberta, Canada, and learned the value of hard work at a young age. Looking to branch out from farming, he sought a profession where he could serve others, and decided to pursue dentistry for its daily responsibility of helping to relieve people from pain and to restore their natural smiles.
 
In addition to his work at Gentle Dental, Dr. Proud is involved with community outreach, church activities, and educating people on oral health. In 2005 and 2008, he traveled to remote areas of Guatemala and Peru to fulfill dental needs within underprivileged communities. Currently, he is a volunteer at the Compassion Clinic, a free clinic for those below the poverty line. His personal hobbies include working out, biking, football, hockey, snowboarding, and many other sports.
 
Dr. Proud tries to make visits to the dentist a fun and enjoyable experience. He is passionate about changing smiles, and loves to joke around with his patients while providing total dental care.
