Derick Nguy, D.D.S.
About Me
Dr. Nguy says, “What first attracted me to dentistry was having the ability to impact someone’s life in a matter of moments. Helping people to smile gives them the confidence to believe in themselves. It’s the thing I enjoy most about my profession–having a positive impact on a person’s life.”
“Countless times I have heard stories of how one bad experience has ruined a patient and so it then falls on me and my staff to regain that trust and convince the patient that we are here for them”, says Dr. Nguy. “One of the best parts of being a dentist is having the opportunity to improve a patient’s expectations of dentistry.” Patient care is his first concern and he appreciates how the teamwork at Gentle Dental allows him to concentrate on helping his patients develop comfortable and confident smiles as he nurtures trusting relationships with them.
After graduating from UC Irvine, Dr. Nguy received his Dental Degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry. To keep abreast of cutting edge technology, he’s a member of the American Dental Association. He speaks Vietnamese, also.
To unwind, Dr. Nguy enjoys fishing and basketball.
