About Me

Dr. Tina Mukai was attracted to dentistry by personal influences: her mother was a Dental Hygienist and her uncle a Periodontist. The work and experiences of these family members encouraged Dr. Mukai to explore the field for her own career. Now, as a General Dentist, she enjoys working with her patients and making a difference in their lives. She truly cares about the dental health and overall well-being of her patients, and strives to deliver effective treatment plans best fit to each individual.
 
Prior to returning to her home state of Hawaii, Dr. Mukai completed her academic studies in Missouri. Attending University of Missouri-Kansas City for both undergraduate and graduate degrees, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and her D.D.S. degree from the School of Dentistry. She is currently an active member of several professional organizations, including the Hawaii Dental Association and the New Dentist Committee.
 
In her free time, Dr. Mukai enjoys a variety of interests, such as traveling, photography, hanging out with friends, and going to the beach.
