About Me

Dr. Chan says “I was always interested in sciences, especially biological sciences. I knew, as a healthcare provider, one has the privilege of making a difference by helping others improve their lives. As an orthodontist, I would also have the opportunity to work with my hands and it is something I always enjoyed.”
 
“Since orthodontics usually takes months to years to complete, as the orthodontist, I get to know my patients and their families. They become part of my extended professional family. Having the opportunity to make a positive and life long impact in each of their lives, proving orthodontics services to my patients have been and will continue to be one of the most rewarding experiences in my life,” says Dr. Chan.
 
After graduating from the UC Berkeley, Dr. Chan received his D.D.S. from UC San Francisco School of Dentistry. He was later awarded his Certificate in Orthodontics from the Columbia University School of Dentistry. He speaks Cantonese, as well.
 
Dr. Chan says “I have been practicing the specialty of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics for 18 years. By frequently attending continue education seminars, I am able to stay abreast of the most current knowledge and techniques in orthodontics. Our practice treats children and adults of all ages with various orthodontic and dental problems. Treatment modalities includes fixed appliances (metal and clear/ ceramic braces), functional appliances, as well as Invisalign removable aligners.”
 
His spare time enjoyed with his family. He says “we enjoy traveling and broadening our horizons, gourmet cooking, sports, and embark on any adventures that enrich our lives.
